Answers:
  1. Is this distance learning degree any different from the one that is earned on campus at Boston University?
No. You will receive the same Master of Science degree and your diploma is the same as the students' on-campus diplomas.

  2. Are there any on-campus requirements?
Yes, the Seminar: Practice Leadership requires students to attend the campus for 2 days in May.

  3. How long is the program?
The program is completed in approximately 22 months. There are six semesters with each semester lasting 12 to 15 weeks. The program is 11 courses or 32 credit hours of course work.

  4. How many credits and courses do I take each semester?
You will enroll in two courses each semester. You will take one course at a time and each course is seven weeks in length.

  5. How much does the program cost?
See the Tuition and Fees Supplement for the most current information. This is a great investment when you consider that the program will allow you to realize career-advancing opportunities while you continue working. It is immediately accessible from your home or office, and you can have the benefits of a Master of Science from a prestigious school like Boston University in approximately 22 months.

  6. May I transfer credits into the program?
Students who believe that their prior education has encompassed any of the courses that form part of the required post-professional Master of Science program's curriculum will need to submit documentation of their knowledge and skills in the relevant area for review. The decision to waive any course will be individualized, and may require substitution of an appropriate alternative.

  7. When do I start the program?
You may enter the program three times per year during any semester — fall, spring, or summer.

  8. How much time is required in this program?
This program is designed for the working professional who must keep up with the demands of work and home. Most students require around 20 hours of study per week. Your instructor will help you stay on track. Students also find their small group is a tremendous source of support.

  9. Who do I talk to if I have more questions or if I want to apply?
You may call your Admissions Advisor at 1-866-232-0232 Ext. 3394.
