Program Overview

Ranked #2 by U.S News and World Report
Boston University's graduate Occupational Therapy programs were ranked #2 (#1 on the East Coast) in the past five consecutive rankings by U.S. News and World Report's Best Graduate Schools.

The highly regarded post-professional Master of Science from Boston University is now offered in an e-Learning format. You currently have the opportunity to earn your MS degree from a top-ranked Occupational Therapy program, without disrupting your career or relocating your family. Our innovative e-Learning program is designed to accommodate your demanding work and home-life schedule. This e-Learning program gives you flexibility and access to the finest curriculum available.

After 2007, all accredited entry-level occupational therapy programs in the United States must be graduate-level. As academic programs convert to an entry-level master's degree and more graduates enter the work force with master’s degrees, Boston University is committed to meeting the needs of practicing clinicians. The mission of the MS program is to increase practitioners’ ability to use current theory, research, and knowledge of health and social service systems to guide clinical practice, and thus to prepare them to develop innovative and effective intervention and service programs.

STUDENT TESTIMONIAL
"I took this program because I heard Boston University had a highly recognized program. My coworkers agreed that BU was a good university and I would get a good education. I'm looking to the future since in 2007, all OTs will have their Master's Degrees. I don't want to be passed up for a good position, even though I'll have more experience, if I don't have my degree.
