


Wendy Coster PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA
Dr. Coster is Associate Professor and Chair, Department of Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation Counseling at Boston University, Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Prior to joining the faculty at Boston University, Dr. Coster worked in community-based clinical programs for children with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive disabilities. Dr. Coster's research has focused on the development of clinical assessments and outcome measures, including application of Rasch analysis and computer adaptive testing (CAT) methods. She is co author of two internationally recognized standardized functional assessments for children, the Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory (PEDI) and the School Function Assessment (SFA) that are widely used in practice and research. She has also been involved in the development of two adult instruments, the Activity Measure for Post-Acute Care (AM-PAC) and the Late-Life Function and Disability Instrument. Her most current project, which began this year with funding from NIDRR, is to develop measures of participation and environment for children and youth with disabilities.
