Ellen S. Cohn, ScD, OTR/L, FAOTA

Dr. Cohn instructs courses related to clinical reasoning, occupational therapy intervention, evidence-based practice, group leadership, and critical analysis of theory and research in health, adaptation, and disability. Her research focuses on parents' perspectives of intervention and outcomes, and living with and parenting children with a range of diagnostic conditions. She is currently a co-investigator for an interdisciplinary research project exploring health disparities and cross cultural explanatory models of health and illness funded by the Veterans' Administration. Additionally, she is a co-editor of Willard and Spackman's Occupational Therapy 11th edition. Recently, she served as a consultant to the AOTA Commission on Practice during their revision of the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF) and is currently a member of the Commission on Practice. She is a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association and an ad-hoc member of the AJOT Editorial Board.
